Another Massacre Where Nothing Got Done

You see it getting reported again
as you learn about it on the net
You see the panicked reporters on TV
saying there has been another tragedy
Someone had a lot of guns
and a lot of damage has been done
A lot of innocent people are now dead
and you feel nothing but crazy dread.

The shooter had a big grudge
the voices in his head were insane
He had assault weapons he might have bought
in some gun show parking lot
So one day this sad day would come
and many more sad days are on the way
Because we use just about any excuse
for the reasons this evil happens this way

and see their tears from their loved ones
They didn’t have to be murdered
the good lives they lived are now gone
