about the rule of law or respecting people’s rights
they’d choose the darkness instead of seeing the light

Sheriff Joe Arpaio ran Tent City like a concentration camp
He even bragged he did and thought he was a champ
for racial profiling and abusing his sheriff’s badge
Torturing the inmates like only a crazy dictator can

One day a paraplegic inmate asked for a catheter
Joe’s jailer almost broke his neck like it didn’t matter
Sheriff Joe Arpaio thought it was a mighty fine plan
to run a jail like a penal colony because he can

Sheriff Joe Arpaio ran his jail like the Medieval times
arrested American hispanics and called them illegal aliens
Made them wear pink underwear because sadistic rules are fun
for the Maricopa County Sheriff and his goons had the chains and guns.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio liked publicity stunts on the backs of immigrants
He lied that Obama wasn’t born in America because racism is a perfect fit
He let rapists and child molesters get away with their crimes
He loved political witch hunts and lawless projects that put him in the limelight

So one night during a hurricane, a charlatan like Sheriff Joe pardoned him for his crimes
This racist swine called him a hero who was never going to do any time
in the jail that Sheriff Joe would find it very hard to survive
with the inmates he abused ready to show him what he did to their lives.
